Denoising strength

How much of your source image the model is allowed to repaint.

Typical 0.75

At low values the result is your picture with a light pass over it; near 1 almost nothing of the original survives. The middle is where img2img is most useful: enough freedom to change the style or the light, and not so much that the subject moves. It applies to img2img and inpainting. Remix weights its inputs per image instead, and ignores this. With a control type set, the worker starts from a blank canvas and your picture is only read by the detector, so there is nothing here for denoise to keep. Leave it at 1 unless you know why you want less. is what says how closely the image follows the control map. On older versions of the horde, denoise did that job.It belongs to requests that start from an image. On a plain text prompt leave it at 1, because a lower value quietly cuts steps off the end of the schedule, and a model designed for very few steps, such as Flux Schnell, comes back pale and still speckled with noise. The examples come in two sets, one on a sampler that re-rolls and one on a sampler that settles. A sampler that re-rolls adds fresh noise back at every pass, so some of what moves across those examples is the sampler and not the strength. The set on the sampler that settles shows the strength on its own.

A major redraw. The arrangement survives and little else does.
