Flux and Qwen Image models do not denoise the way Stable Diffusion does. They follow a path from noise to image, and the shift decides how much of that path is spent on the early, structural part.Raise it and the composition settles harder while detail gets less attention; lower it and the opposite happens.Around 2 to 4 suits most prompts, and the useful range is small enough that changing it by a whole point is a visible edit.No other model family reads the value, so the panel only shows the field once a Flux or Qwen Image model is selected, and leaves it out of the request otherwise.
