Blend images together Remix
Blend a picture with a handful of others and get a picture that combines them.
Same lesson, three subjects
Source image
1 · Attach the picture to lead with
Remix builds a new picture out of one you lead with and a handful you point it at.Open and put the leading picture into it. The upload tile appears once you have chosen a mode on the mode row.The example led with a photograph of the same subject. The picture is yours to attach; nothing on this step comes from the example. - Source image
2 · Set the mode to Remix
Remix is the mode that blends your picture with other pictures. The other modes repaint it, trace it, or patch part of it.It is served by one family of models and no other, so when no worker is carrying a Stable Cascade model the chip is disabled and the card says why. - Source image
3 · Add the reference images
The Reference images list in the Source image card is where you add the pictures the result should resemble, each with a strength slider of its own.The example added one at full strength: a simple flat-shaded sketch of the same scene, which asks for the same picture in a different drawing style. The reference images contribute their style more than their content. These are pictures you attach, so they are yours to supply. Prompt
4 · Describe the picture, and name the references as references
The prompt still describes what the picture is of. This example asked for a woman in her 30s with a sleek silver bob haircut, round copper goggles resting up in her silver hair, a patched teal canvas coat, a small brass compass on a cord around her neck, at the railing of a zeppelin airship's gondola deck, in the style of the reference images. The tail of that, in the style of the reference images, is doing real work: it tells the model to borrow the style of the extra pictures and to leave their content alone. This one carries no negative prompt.Model & style
5 · Pick Stable Cascade
This one is not a free choice.Remix is served on Stable Cascade and on nothing else across the horde, so any other model leaves your request sitting in the queue with nobody able to take it.This example used Stable Cascade 1.0 at 1024×1024, and the model and dimensions are set together. Cascade workers are scarce, so it is worth checking one is up before planning around this. 6 · Send it to the horde
Press Generate. The picture you led with and every reference beside it are uploaded inside the request itself, so a remix uploads more than any other kind of request. The job then queues for a volunteer worker, and because so few of them carry Cascade this one can sit longer than most: expect anything from a few seconds to a few minutes. This run took about 98 seconds and cost 121 kudos.
